100% California Certified

Part of our charter is to certify grocery stores and other food sellers as being 100% California. That is, offering 20 or more products that carry the Made in California or Real California Cheese seal.

You can get involved and help here too. Check out your local grocer to see how they stack up. Then report it on our site---good or bad.

Find Local Food at Local Stores

Here you can find a listing of all Retailers within our database to find out what locally produced California products they carry.

5 Things You Can Do

We need your help to convince more California Stores to carry more California made products. They will listen if we make enough noise collectively.

We have people who want to help...to join in but are not certain how to help or what to do. So, here's some help. Here's 5 things you can do.

Look...The next time you shop for groceries, look for products that say made in California on the label.
Or, check the manufacturers address on the package. Be sure you have your glasses because sometimes the letters are pretty small.
Helpful Hint: Go to Find Local Food At Local Retailers right now and print out the list we've provided. Then when you shop, you have your list already started.

Come Back...to this site (hopefully you've bookmarked it) and click on Find Local Food At Local Retailers. Then fill in the check list provided based upon your findings at your store. (If you take a print out, this will be much easier).

Challenge...your local store. If you don't like what you found, that is, if the store did not carry California Made Products in enough categories, click on the Act Now link on the Home Page. Te fill out your store's information and add your name. We will send the letter for you to try to create change. If enough of us do this, it WILL have an effect. It's bound to.

Write...a Forum post, or 10. Tell about your experiences in a Forum post. It's v-e-r-y easy to do. Simply click on the Forums link on the Home Page and have at it. Pick a topic that interests you and either reply to someone else's comments OR make a new comment OR start a whole new conversation (I understand they refer to this as a new thread).

Talk...to your friends. Tell them about this site. Ask (or tell, depending on your relationship) them to participate. Ask them to print out a list to take shopping. To Act Now and let their voices be heard by the local store. To post a comment in the Forum. And...most importantly...ask them to tell others—to help spread the word. That's what's going to make this work.
